Christmas Fun

We had a fantastic Christmas this year!! We totally surprised the kids and got them a puppy. I am not sure who was more excited Jake, the puppy or the kids! We found him on KSL at the beginning of December and the people who were selling them agreed to keep him until December 20th then my mom took him for a week. My mom really enjoyed having him and she says she even misses him. He is a Teacup Poodle which we are not allergic to that's why we had to go with poodle-they don't shed! Our family and there BAD allergies!! He is so cute and I am actually glad we finally got the kids a dog! The kids named him Rusty he is hyper and happy and chews on everything. Lucky for me he is pretty well house trained and kennel trained he has hardly had any accidents. That's what I was dreading the most was the pee and poop thing-I can't handle the mess-I am a "neat" freak. Matthew got a Nintendo DS and some Lego's. Mckay got an I POD and some Lego's. Marcus got a big Zoo and Buzz light Year and Madelynn got a Doll House and a Jesse Doll. Jake surprised me and we are going away for the weekend to Park City for our Anniversary next week! I am so excited we are going sledding up at Solider Summit just the two of us-No Kids! All in all we had a great holiday! We spent time with both of our families and friends that's what it's about! Hope your Christmas was great!

Snow...Snow And More........Snow!?!?!?

Well I think we have PLENTY of snow this year!! I can't possibly be the only one that thinks ENOUGH ALREADY!! The kids actually had a "snow day" the other day from school. I don't think we have had a snow day in years! On Tuesday the 21 of December we woke up to 21" of snow!! It was CRAZY!! The kids build snow forts and Jake build a snowman with them. They have been sledding several times which we all enjoy. Madelynn is a total daredevil we were all very surprised! We sled over at Peteetnet in Payson just 1 mile away-the whole town sleds there we always run into someone we know! So please Mother Nature I think were good don't you?? Could you be kinder in January? Please??

Merry Christmas!!

We just wanted to wish you all a Very Merry Christmas! I thought I would do a quick year review at the Neubert house! It has been a good year and has gone by much to fast. Jake is keeping busy with his new job and his church calling. He is still the same easy going fun guy! He still wishes he could play the guitar and enjoys anything in the great outdoors. Jake mostly just enjoys a quiet night with the family! He is still in Young Mens which keeps him busy. As for me not to much to report (I know-so exciting huh??) I am still working at the Beehive home and really enjoy my 11 old lady friends! I hope I can grow old as gracefully as my friends have-I sure love them!! I take care of the kids and always have my little pal (Madelynn) with me! I keep plenty busy doing all that Mom stuff and enjoy the time with my family! Matthew is growing up to fast. He is 12 and enjoys playing Video games and listening to music and even enjoys school. He also enjoys basketball, baseball, swimming and going with his scout group. He is very social and has several good friends. I am very proud of him he is such a fine young man and I appreciate all the help he is to me! Mckay is 9 now-that's crazy! He is still very smart and enjoys school. Just the other day I took them to the dentist and he was mad because he was missing Recess!! Mckay is very stubborn and loves to tease just about anyone. (especially Madelynn-he can sure get her screaming) Mckay can also be very shy he hates to be the center of attention. He loves any sport and is a very good athlete. I am not sure he will be getting much for Christmas this year because he does not believe there is a Santa anymore and has spent the last month trying to convince his brothers of that. Little Stinker!!! Marcus is 7 and will be getting baptised in May of 2011. He is still my laziest, unmotivated, but very sweet little boy! He is still small and hates the cold weather! He loves animals and wants to be a Zoo-Keeper when he grows up. He loves his little sister and loves to make her happy! For Christmas I asked the kids to make a list of 5 things they wanted Marcus list was #1-Dog #2-Hamster #3-Cat #4-Fish #5-Bird. I said "No animals!" He was bummed and said "I was hoping if I put it on my list I could get at least one!!" I sure love my Marcus! Madelynn is as Bossy as ever!! She is the youngest and seems to get what she wants! She hates to be told NO and will throw a fit over it-hopefully she will learn!! She loves her brothers and her friends. She plays with 2 little neighbor boys-unfortunately she gets along with boys better-we are so in for it with her!! She will be 4 in April and wants to go to the Princess Castle for her Birthday (Disneyland). She is in Dance and really enjoys that. What a fun girl she is to have around! That about sums it all up! Hope you all have a great Christmas! Remember the Reason for the Season! I know we are all so thankful for the Savior and all he has done for us. Merry Christmas!

Thanksgiving

I just wanted to do a quick thanksgiving post! I have been asking the kids what they are most thankful for this year and here are a few of there answers. Matthew said he was thankful for School (I almost fell over) and he was thankful for his dad's new work! Matthew has become a really good student this year! Mckay said he was most thankful for his family and his friends. Marcus (actually said this) said he was thankful for me! (Someone appreciates me) Marcus also said he was thankful for the church and that we get to go on Sundays and then he added that he was thankful for warm coats-he HATES being cold! Madelynn just thinks we should get our Halloween stuff back out and forget about Christmas!! She can't wait to go to grandma's house and have a feast with Minnie (my moms dog) so she is thankful for dogs! We have so much to be thankful for!! I would have to agree with Matthew we are all thankful for Jake's new job!! It seems to be GREAT!! If you haven't heard Jake is working for LDS Motion Pictures he is building movie sets for the church. It is actually really interesting and he is really enjoying it! However the 50++ hour work weeks have been a difficult change for us but we are adjusting! They are working on a project until April of 2011 so that means work until April!! YEAH! He heard about this job from a salesman at BMC and it has just all worked out from there! I hope you all have a Great Thanksgiving! Eat some Turkey and have a thankful heart-I know we will!!

Free Bug Removal

Marcus is catching caterpillar's by the DOZEN!! He has been all over the neighborhood catching them and to date he has 29 in his bug jar. One of the neighbors keeps checking with him "Marcus how many do you have today?" Its kinda of funny!! Notice his sidekick she likes to pick them up and hold them-but just like a girl she has to change her clothes when she touches them because they make her all "Itchy" she says. About a month ago it was grass-hoppers I prefer the caterpillar's. They are black and brown fuzzy caterpillars kinda cute for bugs Marcus wants to work in a Zoo when he grows up-he would be great at it he loves all kinds of CREEPY-Crawly Things. he brings home all sorts of things Grass-hoppers, bugs, snakes (yuck), and he even had a frog once and he is always begging for a dog!! He is such a BOY-and I love it!! I think he would make a GREAT Zoo Keeper he has such a soft heart for any animal. If you are in need of any BUG Removal please give Marcus a call he is great at it!!

Surprise?!?!

Yes Marcus is Scared!! We were pretty high up!

For the boys Birthday we planned a little Surprise! On Friday Sept. 10th (mckay's b-day) the boys got up to go to school and we said "Surprise your not going to school today!" Mckay was a little concerned he likes school and wanted to be there when they announced his name over the intercom that is was his Birthday!! So Funny! Then we told them we are off for a fun weekend today-camping, hiking, fishing all things the boys love to do!! Then Mckay had a big grin and said "Lets GO!" Me and Jake packed the trailer on Thursday when they were at school they had no idea we were headed anywere-they thought we were all done camping until next year! They were all excited! We had planed to go to the High Uintah's-Mirror Lake Area. I camped there alot when I was a kid and no the area pretty well. We had a great time!! Jake gave Matthew and Mckay a Swiss Army Knife for there Birthday's and they spent the weekend carving and cutting just about anything they could. We fished and hiked and had a great time!! Kinda of funny-we did not catch one fish we fished about 6 lakes everyone around us caught fish but not US!! I think it was because we are a noisy bunch-with 4 excited kids how can you be quite!! Jake was a little bothered we did not catch fish but the boys could care less. We hiked Bald Mountain and Ruth Lake. We had a great weekend! It was alot of fun taking my little family to one of the places I have such fun memories of. I hope the kids enjoy our little adventures and want to take there kids on some someday! Matthew turned 12 and Mckay turned 9! I can't believe how fast the time is going-I truly fell so blessed to their mom! I thank my Heavenly Father daily for the opportunity he has given me to be a mom to these great boys!! I am so lucky!!!

Afterward we invited all family and a few friends over for lunch and to celebrate! It was Matthew and Mckay's Birthday and David's and Jed's (my sister's boys) Birthday so we had a big party at our house to celebrate! The house was packed we all enjoyed visiting and eating and running around! Congratulations to Matthew-we are so proud of you! I can't believe you are growing up-please STOP!! Love You Tons! MOM :)

In's and Out's at the Neubert's

The boys started School!! Lucky us its back to the grind!! Homework, actual bed times, packing lunches, reading everyday, and more homework!! Can you tell I am so Excited-UUGGHH!! I love being lazy with my kids during the summer months and am sad to to see it end. I may be strange but I miss the boys and wish they were at home with me!! Here are a few quick updates as to what we have been up to lately:

Mckay Loves Soccer!

Well its that time of year again-Soccer! Mckay loves soccer and it is his favorite sport. He is on the Angels team and plays 2-3 nights a week. It is alot of fun-Mckay is really good and scores at least one goal a game he is also a fast runner and it all the other kids have a hard time catching him!! Mckay started the 3rd grade this year-so far he likes it. He has 6 neighbor kids including himself in his class so it should be a fun year for him!! His good friend Tanner is in his class he was excited about that. It will be his Birthday next week and he will be 9!! Were did the time go??

Matthew Gets Glasses

Matthew is now in the 6th grade he is getting so big! He has a great teacher this year and we are both excited about the upcoming school year! I took him and Mckay to the eye doctor thinking Mckay needed glasses but Matthew did! Isn't that how it goes? He is far-sited and needs glasses to read. He was actually excited and Mckay was mad because he wanted glasses so he could "Look Smart"! Kids are so funny. About 2 weeks ago Matthew was really sick we weren't sure what was wrong the strep-throat tests all came back negative. He had a fever for 6 days and was very GRUMPY! He had sores all over his mouth and tonsils and was in alot of pain! The Doctor did not really no what was wrong-a virus. We are so glad he is feeling better and is much happier-it was rough for all of us!! LOL So here are a few pictures of Matthew. I can't believe he will be 12 in a week-he will be getting the Priesthood-WOW!! He is really excited to be in Young Men's and out of primary I think he is ready! But is he responsible enough?? We will just have to wait and see!!

Madelynn Starts Dance Classes

Madelynn is so bored now that the boys all go to school. She assured me on the first day of school that she is a "BIG" girl and she is old enough to go to school with them. She also told me that the school the boys go to is a PINK school and she needs to go with them!! Although I would love to send her (especially now that she thinks she knows EVERYTHING!) she is not old enough! What in the world would I do with out her anyway??? I just love her to death and can't imagine my day complete without spending time with her! She is smart and is fun to talk to because she has such cute ideas I hope we can always be special friends! I put her in a Dance class one day a week so far she is loving it and it is giving her something to look forward to.

Mister Marcus

Not to much to say about Marcus-except he is a fun loving very imaginative and sweet little boy!! I mean Madelynn and him almost weigh the same. I hope he hits a growth spurt soon-he could use a little extra meat on his bones!! He is in the 2nd grade this year and so far likes it. He did not want to play soccer but once Mckay started he decided he wanted to-But it was to late. So next year he will play soccer again.

Fun Pictures of the Kiddos!

Jake has been working in Colorado but is now back home!! Yeah! I braved taking all four kids to church by myself-it was actually not that bad!! Jake takes all the kids when I have to work on Sunday mornings! I figured if he can do surely I can to. I took a couple of pictures of the kids in the front yard while he was away. The pictures turned out so cute!! I wanted to share some of my VERY cute kids!! Not that I am prejudice or anything!! LOL

Poor Minnie!!

Madelynn is the worst Minnie torturer of the bunch!! But the dog still likes her?!??!!

We have been watching my parents dog for a few weeks while they are in Alaska. What an experience that has been!! The poor dog has been bugged and chased and chased some more! I bet when Minnie (dog) goes home she will sleep for days!!! She is often found hiding under beds or in my closet or wants out-away from all of our craziness!! She is use to sleeping alot and it being quiet and no kids to bug her. I REALLY feel for the poor tortured dog. My kids have been wanting a dog for years-I don't think so!!! I am so glad she is such a good dog-no accidents, no biting (trust me I would bite) and very little barking. So Mom, although we truly enjoyed having Minnie I am so glad you will be home to relieve her of my children!!!! LOL

Just Playing Around..................................

We have had a great Summer!! I can't believe it is half over-in fact it makes me sad!! I love laid back lazy summer days!! It has been a little crazy around here lately!! Jake just got back from Youth Conference and had a Great time-He even had to speak about it in sacrament Sunday! I must say he gave a great talk and everyone told him what a good leader he is!! (the secret is out-Jake is a GREAT guy!!) Today he is off to Zions to hike the Narrows with his Teachers! Then he will be back Saturday and Matthew is leaving Monday for a week long Scout Camp at Maple Dell. Then we will be headed out camping over the weekend-does it ever end?? But really I can't wait!! I am excited for Matthew and nervous all at the same time- a whole week away what will we do without him??? I know he will have a great time! OOHHH he is growing up!! Anyway for the 4th we went camping and had a blast-we had a a big crowd-13 children and a bunch of adults. We ate and fished, and 4-wheeled and hiked, shot BB Guns, sat around the camp fire until 1 am and ate some more and took afternoon naps-it was fun! My favorite way to spent the fourth-away from all the craziness and with my Amazing family and friends!! I love our Country and appreciate all the sacrifices for our freedom!! Happy fourth!
