Our Teenager

It's official we now have a teenager! That would be Matthew-he turned 13 on September 9th. He started the 7th grade this year and really likes it. I have to brag for a minute-What a good kid he is! I was nervous for him and worried he would fall behind-but that is not the case! Sometimes I think my kids are not listening to me but I know they actually are! Matthew just brought home his grades...........can I say Straight A's!!!!!!!!!!! WOW! I love this boy!! I am so proud of him-we have been telling him how important it is to get good grades hopeing he was keeping up-which he is! He has made alot of new friends and just on Saturday got to go to Lagoon-another shocker he went on "Wicked" at Lagoon like 5 times!! He is growing up!! Some of Matthew's favorites this year are-Lego's, Baseball, Basketball, Swimming, Video Games, Scouts (he is the patrol leader of his scout group), Young Mens, Camping, Fishing, Four-wheeling, hanging out with his BFF-Matthew D. and in October he is taking Hunter Safety so he can hunt next year! What an Active Kid he is! For his Birthday he wanted to go to Tucano's with his second family the Desantigo's-they tell me all the time "Matthew is adoptable". We all went to Tucanos with our friends the Desantigo's and had a great time to celebrate both Matthew and Mckay's Birthday's! SO SO proud to be his Mom!! Happy Birthday Matthew!

Mckay Turns 10

Mckay turned 10 years old on September 10th! He is such a good kid and fun to be around! Mckay has been playing soccer and is pretty good-he can run really fast and the kids have a hard time keeping up with him. At one of his games a guy came up to us and asked Mckay if he was interested in playing Club Soccer? We weren't sure what that was-its basically accelerated soccer you play all over Utah County. The guy that approached us was the coach for the U10 team. Mckay has been practicing with Nebo Club Soccer U10 team and has really learned alot and enjoys it. They already started Fall so Mckay can't play but he is planning on being on the team and playing in the Spring! He is very excited about that-he is playing soccer 3 nights a week! Busy Busy! I think Soccer is his "thing" he loves it and has even mentioned not playing baseball next year! Mckay was worried about having Asthma and that he would not be able to play sports. After talking with the Doctor he felt better-he just had to take a week off and get better and watch his breathing when he is playing. Mckay is in the 4th grade this year and enjoys that. Some of his favorites this year are, Lego's (as always),Soccer, Basketball, Swimming, Baseball, Reading, Scouts, Camping, Four-Wheeling, Fishing, playing X-Box, he is kinda a homebody and not as social as my other kids-(which I enjoy)! His favorite foods are, Pizza, Pickles,Chicken Nuggets, Grilled Cheese, Apples, Hot dogs, Candy, Candy and McDonald's! Happy Birthday Mckay-Love you lots!

"Due-Over"

Well-needless to say it's been a long month!! I am ready for a "Due-Over!" Do you ever feel that way? Alot has happened this month (September)-some good, but mostly not so good! The kids are all back in school-which is great and crazy all at the same time! It was Matthew and Mckay's Birthday's-also GREAT! But on the bad side it's been tough! Jake wrecked his Ford Truck-thankfully nobody was hurt!! Jake hit a cement barrier on the freeway between Center Street in Provo and university Parkway in Orem-you can see his nice 20 foot scrape on the cement wall. The steering broke and the truck may be totalled! Were just waiting to hear back from the insurance-I'm sure you all no how fun that is to deal with. YUCK! A big thanks to my parents-we have been driving my dad's truck for 2 weeks now-I don't know what we would do without there support!! Jake also has had some tooth aches and now has to have a root canal-if you know Jake he HATES the dentist. This has made him pretty miserable!! I spent a night in the ER with Mckay also not so fun! Still waiting for that bill!! He was having a difficult time breathing after benedryal and 24 hours I took him over to the ER-his O2 levels were 82-Not so good! We did 3 breathing treatments and they think he may have Asthma-also not so fun!! Marcus has also been sick alot this month and has missed a few days of school-the Dr. ordered labs and thankfully they found nothing wrong!! Just a low immune system-they think he keeps getting sick because school just started and there are all kinds of germs in a public school. All in all-We are hoping for a better October! Glad we all survived September-(hopefully nothing happens in the next few days!)
